The Eye of the Bedlam Bride by Matt Dinniman (Dungeon Crawler Carl, #6)
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride by Matt Dinniman is Book 6 in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. On the dungeon’s eighth floor, Carl and Princess Donut must capture monsters and turn them into cards to build a team strong enough to survive.
Sequel synopsis contains spoilers for earlier Dungeon Crawler Carl books.
Coast Guard veteran Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s cat have survived longer and leveled up higher than anyone expected in the galaxy’s most popular reality show. But after the shocking conclusion of the seventh level, it is anyone’s game.
A pantheon of forgotten gods. An old grudge between a talk show host, an heiress, and the man they shattered. A rapidly deteriorating AI system. An inconvenient tiara on a friend’s head. It is bedlam on the eighth floor.
The crawlers’ task is to find and capture six monsters, each destined to become a card. The stronger and deadlier, the better: their opponents will have decks packed with powerful cards of their own. As always, there is a catch.
For a winning hand, Carl and Donut must capture Shi Maria, the terrifying Bedlam Bride. Once married to a now-missing god, she has a special attack known to drive its victims insane. Even if they capture her, they know that captured does not mean tamed.
