The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 5 by Natsu Hyuuga – Manga

The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 5 follows Maomao into life in the Outer Palace, where new duties and forbidden places spark her curiosity. Herbal medicine and palace intrigue continue in this illustrated historical mystery manga.

Synopsis contains spoilers for earlier volumes.

Forced to leave the Inner Palace, Maomao finds herself employed by none other than Jinshi, the seemingly ever-present thorn in her side. Immune to his charms, she sets about learning the ways of the Outer Palace, where government officials and military officers handle the daily business of running the country.

Rather than fear her unfamiliar surroundings, Maomao is fascinated by the soldier-occupied eastern wing. She has been forbidden to enter, but it seems more mysteries await there, and her insatiable curiosity is already piqued.
