The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 12 by Natsu Hyuuga – Manga

The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 12 brings eerie storytelling and a hunting trip tangled in court intrigue into Maomao’s life. The young herbalist’s adventures continue in this illustrated historical mystery manga.

Synopsis contains spoilers for earlier volumes.

Pressed to get out more, Maomao attends a spooky gathering where court ladies exchange tales of terror as a diversion from their daily work. The skeptical Maomao finds few thrills in the stories, until the evening takes an eerie turn.

More surprises await when Jinshi requests her company on a hunting trip. With court intrigue and subterfuge at work, nothing is quite what it seems. Before the hunt even begins, the opening banquet goes awry, leaving master and servant in a tight spot and uncomfortably close quarters.
